RUMM Energy Management Solutions & Savings

The RPC Group is Europe’s leading manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging. With just under 50 autonomous sites in 12 countries, the company employs in excess of 6,500 people.

RUMM was asked to investigate energy usage at RPC’s Llantrisant plant and provide solutions and suggestions for reducing the annual energy bill.

Following the completion of the aM&T system, where 17 meters were installed across the site, a benchmarking exercise then took place in order to ascertain where energy was being used and equally where it was being used non-efficiently.

RUMM and RPC then engaged in an Energy management UK partnership to achieve savings. This included regular weekly meetings to discuss options that could save the company money.

Site analysis was carried out based on production output, SEC and this was bench marked to reduce consumption.

As a result of the measures put in place, energy consumption in the first 5 months dropped from 1354528 kWh to 1131995 kWh, with specific energy consumption reducing by 14%. This equated to a £120k saving in the first year alone.

Locations de vacances à Londres

Londres …

They had just unveiled their new build Hertfordshire House design proposal which is a sustainable timber framed shingle clad house set in a 1/3 acre plot. This seems to have been well received and there was lots of discussion surrounding this new build.

Make this B & B your weekend home

Lounge

My wife and I decided to escape to the country side for a well deserved break and came across the most wonderful, warm and inviting bed and breakfast Itchingfold set on a farm surrounded by the most beautiful views. It was exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway to escape our hectic city life.

The great thing about it was although it’s situated in the heart of the countryside it’s near enough to the local shops and transport. The rooms were spacious, upmarket and comfortable; the hosts were friendly and welcoming and breakfast was such a treat.

We will be making bed and breakfast Dunsford our weekend getaway every couple of months.

Have fun and come Tango

Want to be a DJ? Read further what John has to say

Annette and I were wondering how we could flush out potential DJ’s resident in Cambridge who’d like to learn how to do it?  When I say learn how to do it, I/we don’t presume that we know it all or that you need to do it like we do, but you do have to play music that will  be popular with the dancers.
The DJ makes or breaks the milonga and although he or she can be forgiven for the occasional mis-placed tanda (I hope!) or dodgy milonga (yes I know, what was I thinking: that ghastly middle milonga last night was Biagi’s Soy del 90 – doesn’t sound like he is 90 to me, more like a cross between a spring lamb and Tigger.  But I won’t do it again – I wasn’t dancing I was watching the mayhem), a lot of the dancers enjoyment of the evening hinges on the music, and the DJ ( so no pressure).  10501780_m (2)So you see we are looking for DJ’s who love tango music of the Golden Age, not for DJ’s who want to play “alternative” music.

If you are interested in having a go, you’ll need to have a reasonable collection of golden age tango music and be prepared to sit with your music (no dancing while DJing) and be prepared to alter your selections if the floor is emptying, and it will empty if you get it wrong.

If that doesn’t put you off, then please get in touch by clicking here Tango in Cambridge

Plan ahead with a funeral plan

The best advice is often the hardest to accept especially when it involves death…. we think it will never happen to us, however, it’s the one thing we are all assured of that death is inevitable. An often difficult subject to broach especially with our loves ones therefore we ‘sweep in under the carpet’ and carry on with our lives.

So often we don’t plan ahead leaving our loved ones even more distressed as they try and deal with the loss of a loved one and still trying to make decisions regarding the deceased.

Having thought this through I started investigating planning my funeral and Prepaid funerals, this seemed the sensible way forward.

I contacted Lodge Brothers and amazed how supportive and caring their staff are; making my decisions less difficult and my wishes granted. I felt so at ease that I am confident about putting my future in their hands.
